Sunset of ETA & RSA Only Era | EP211 PPCChat Roundup

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

Welcome to this episode of the PPCChat Roundup. In today's episode, we have Julie taking us on a great chat topic again, and very timely one this time. If you're not aware, responsive search ads is going to be our only option for ad copy for Google ad copy from Friday. Because by the end of the day of the 30th of June ETA's (Expanded Text Ads) we're not gonn have the ability to actually create any more ETA's from the end of this week.

RSAs will be the only option of new ads that you can create. So we are going to today talk about how we are feeling about that, how we are preparing, what's still missing in the current state of RSA and more.

Listen tio our thoughts on the RSA only era:

Questions covered were:

Q1 With Google Ads ending the ability to create new ETAs (expanded text ads) this week, will you be creating any new ETAs before the deadline? Why or why not?

Q2 Do you have any Google Ads accounts that are not running RSAs (responsive search ads) yet? If so, why no RSAs?

Q3 Will you continue to run your ETAs? For how long and/or what would make you stop running them?

Q4 Has the end of ETAs impacted your strategy and/or campaign setup or structure in Google Ads?

Q5 Have you found an optimal formula(s) for crafting RSAs?

Q6 What is your biggest frustration with running RSAs, if you are currently running them?
