Getting Hired in PPC | EP201 PPCChat Roundup

Updated: Apr 26, 2022

In today's episode, we have the lovely Julie Bacchini taking us on a fantastic journey of the PPC chat discussion, where she leads us on the topic of hiring and getting hired in PPC. It was a topic that was suggested by Duane Brown, who recently did a salary survey, which he does yearly.

You can fine the latest one here and see the results of the survey that he's done of people of all over the world. UK, US, Canada, Germany, Spain, some other countries. And I think it's just really great visibility on knowing where you stand on your salary and on the median salary of the markets.

Today we are going to be talking about the hiring process, what annoys us, what's being done well, how would we think things could be improved? How visibility of salary should be a thing!!! That was my favorite point, as you can imagine. :) It was a great discussion.

Listen to this podcast episode on getting hired in the PPC/marketing world:

The questions we covered were:

Q1 Have you been involved in a hiring process for a PPC agency? If so, what was your involvement and when was your last hiring experience?

Q2 What were the biggest frustrations in the PPC hiring process for you or your organization?

Q3 Has anything changed about the PPC hiring process in the past 2 years in your experience?

Q4 Is there something that you wish was out there that would make the PPC hiring process easier or better?

Q5 What are your views on “test projects” as part of the hiring process? You can answer as a potential employer or employee.

Q6 If you’ve been trying to find a PPC position, how have you found the hiring process to be lately?
